The map should have been so much more than it was, and the EE should not have taken 12 hours to solve from launch. The pay off is so meh and I feel any of the BO3 DLC maps gave us more in gameplay wise than this map. (except the Ray Gun V, that thing has unlimited ammo which is very cool)Īlso everyone was extremely hyped up for this map, having to wait 8 months after BoTd and Classified. Also compared to a normal MK2, they’re more different than better imo. The ray guns are cool, but they aren’t on comparison to the staffs or bows in their effectiveness. The zombies that become Veruckt sprinters from nova gas are too brutal on a map like this. The close quarters means if you are anywhere but in the original nuketown area you’ll be killed. (Imagine if on Origins the generator goes off immediately, and can only be turned by holding interact in a specific place whilst being attacked)Īlso the 4 ventilation units stack, so if in a couple of rounds you wanna change weapons you’ve got to do all these first which is horrible. Pack-a-punch is annoying that it gets turned off, and then its tricky to get back on. I don’t by any means think its bad it just doesn’t really have anything going for it. It's insane how bad of a rap it gets, and I'd say it's the only map in BO4 that lives up to the aesthetic and danger of old school Zombies. It couldn't play *less* like Nuketown Zombies, and that's a good thing. They made the map four times bigger, stuffed it full of easter eggs, and changed the way it plays entirely. Though I think it plays the second best of the remakes.ĪO builds on Nuketown in such a cool way and it flows amazingly. Tag? Remove George, the fog, and the Scavenger, and slap a lab in the corner. It also builds off the original in the best way of any of the BO4 remakes.Ĭlassified? Slap two rooms on and kill the gun thief.īoTD? Slap two rooms on and ruin the setup, and nerf everything fun, including the bridge. But that doesn't drag the map down to the point that I'd call it trash. Like that one mini EE the map has going on. The map would also be better if it had mannequin rounds instead of dog rounds. Electric crawlers suck, no defense there, the map would be better without them. PaP turning off sucks but you put up with worse in Origins, where you have run further and wait longer. The EE is awesome, too, with a great boss and ending. I think it's the second creepiest map in the series, behind CoTD. The atmosphere is incredible and very unique to Zombies, being that it's a dry sunny day in a desert, but it doesn't lose out on being eerie at all. Ultimis and Primis being together is an incredible idea, and they're honestly hilarious together. People will shit on it all day for being "unoriginal" and "reusing assets" like, what? Is that what you play Zombies for? Or do you play Zombies for tight, arcadey gameplay, a fun cast, a fun EE and incredible atmosphere?Ĭast interactions are some of the best in the series. It plays similarly to DE - simple setup, four wonder weapons, map layout is similarly very well interconnected and a loop - but tighter, and with wonder weapons that don't carry you as hard. Very little is actually wrong with Alpha Omega. Simply go to /r/CODZombies or set the Redesign as your default experience in preferences.
